I look up, it’s August, and we haven’t done JACK for fun trips. I blew this last summer, too! Sigh.

We’ve opted for shorter trips this spring and summer-cramming in as many as time, etc. allowed. Just got back from Caseville (tip of Michigan’s Thumb), was in Michigan’s northwestern Lower Peninsula earlier this summer (near Traverse City), did the covered bridge loop in Ashtabula Ohio, a night in Frankenmuth (Michigan’s “Little Bavaria”), and a couple of days in South Bend Indiana.
I’m actually amazed we managed all of those trips, considering the circumstances and the fact that we lost our last two “big” vacations. Just doing my best to make lemonade out of lemons
