Finding More Fun: Family Travel Links, Summer 2010

Where has the summer gone?  We haven’t had any big trips, but it seems like the days are flying by nonetheless.  Let’s see what other traveling families have been up to this summer.

Have you been anywhere interesting this summer? Tell us about it in the comments!

    Hey, I’m with you.

I look up, it’s August, and we haven’t done JACK for fun trips. I blew this last summer, too! Sigh.

Thanks for including my Split Rock Lighthouse post on your list!

We’ve opted for shorter trips this spring and summer-cramming in as many as time, etc. allowed. Just got back from Caseville (tip of Michigan’s Thumb), was in Michigan’s northwestern Lower Peninsula earlier this summer (near Traverse City), did the covered bridge loop in Ashtabula Ohio, a night in Frankenmuth (Michigan’s “Little Bavaria”), and a couple of days in South Bend Indiana.
I’m actually amazed we managed all of those trips, considering the circumstances and the fact that we lost our last two “big” vacations. Just doing my best to make lemonade out of lemons :)
