Free Fun in the Cities: Teddy Bear Band 25th Anniversary

Next Tuesday, August 3, Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, will host the Teddy Bear Band’s 25th Anniversary party as its free Toddler Tuesday program.

Performances will be held in the Best Buy Rotunda at 10 and 11 a.m., and the world’s largest teddy bear toss will take place at 10:45.  Other speakers and features are planned.  The celebration will also include the release of the Teddy Bear Band’s new CD, Music and Early Literacy.

The Teddy Bear Band is perfect for the preschool set, but older siblings and parents may find themselves singing and dancing along with the catchy tunes as well.  We’ve seen the Teddy Bear Band at ECFE-sponsored events, community celebrations, and the Minnesota State Fair, and my kids always enjoy their music.

If you go, have the kids bring their favorite teddy bears (other stuffed animals are ok) to join in the fun; if you forget, though, the band usually has some bears they can borrow during the program.
