Free! Select Mondays at Cafesjian’s Carousel at Como Zoo
This week I was delighted to find an addition to my list of Free! Museum Days, Special Events, Attractions, and More in Minnesota. The beautiful and historic Cafesjian’s Carousel, just outside the entrance to Como Zoo and Conservatory, is closed most Mondays, but on select Mondays (usually once per month), carousel rides are free.
Remaining free days for 2010 are August 16 and September 13. Check the carousel’s website for future dates.
The long rides on the carousel are easily worth the regular $1.50 admission price, but if you’re on a tight budget, a visit to Como Zoo (always free) and the carousel on a free day make for a very frugal family outing.
