From the Archives: Things to Do in Southwest Minnesota
Sometimes we dream of taking a vacation but miss all of the interesting things that are in our own backyard. Residents of south central and southwestern Minnesota may be surprised at all the things that are possible to do without driving to the Twin Cities metro area. The following posts tell of places our family has enjoyed.

- Walnut Grove: Ingalls Dugout Site
- Walnut Grove: Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum
Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls is another popular destination, with trails, playgrounds, camping, a small zoo, and of course the falls overlook.
