Joseph is my ggg grandfather. He was also a key player in the founding of New Ulm,Mn. Some 20 miles southeast of this marker. His g granddaughter,(My grandma), Vera (LaFramboise) Weldy is buried about 400 yards south of the marker. The family farm is across the road (State HWY 4) from Fort Ridgely. It is a century farm in the state of Minnesota.
