When It Snows in October…

My husband and I aren’t coffee drinkers, so we don’t frequent coffee shops very often.  However, a mid-October snow and a few extra minutes in the Cities were the impetus for letting the kids have a special treat:

At Caribou

Kids Caribou

For the record, the kids are drinking hot chocolate, my husband has some caramel-apple type of thing, and I had a chai tea latte, which is my favorite coffee-shop indulgence.

What special things do you occasionally splurge on when on an outing?

Snow in October, huh? Wow!! My kids love to drink hot cocoa from the coffee cup in coffee house as well. :) It makes them look cool.

I can’t call a stop at the coffee shop a splurge, the people at our local Starbucks know me too well for that.
I do have to say that food is usually a splurge, but mostly for what it does to my waistline.
Snow in October? Well we’re getting rain tomorrow, and that’s pretty rare :)
