		<description>It&#039;s an incredible perspective to see all of the layers of rocks on those cliffs. These types of scenes make me want to take a crash course in geology!

		<description>I remember being in the Badlands and experiencing the same shock you did when I looked down and saw cacti! I know I posted one of those cactus photos on my blog when I did a series of Dakotas posts.
Who knew?
We were so taken with the short time we spent at the south unit of this park, that it was one of the major reasons we want to go back and spend more time in the Dakotas.
The north unit does look beautiful, and I&#039;d love to get out and do one of the hikes.
