Toilet Art, Part Deux
Many of you were amused by my earlier “toilet art” post that included this photo:
Well, the plot thickens.
This morning, I took the toilet route again, mostly to amuse the kids. You wouldn’t believe how excited they were. “Boys, we just have to go around this curve, and then we’ll see the toilets!” I guess it’s a big deal when you’re five.
So we rounded the bend, and here’s what we saw:
My five-year-old had a logical explanation: there’s only one tree monster, so he only needs one toilet.

I guess the tree monster doesn’t need any privacy.
He does have a reasonable answer.
I also would like to let you know that I gave you ‘One Lovely Blog Award’

Thanks for sharing with us your travel tips, tales and adventures!
I’m new to your blog (found it because I was looking for information about Minnesota and Winnepeg – will explain in a moment). My sons would also love this! It is interesting that the toilet that was in the middle has been shifted to the right of the tree!
Have you ever taken your kids to see the snake pits at Narcisse Wildlife Management Area, one hour north of Winnepeg? My 4 year old is a snake fanatic and we have been reading about these special pits full of thousands of red-sided garter snakes. The snakes emerge in the weeks between the end of April and beginning of May (but can also be seen when they return to the pits in September). I am hoping to take my three boys next spring break (if I can convince my husband).
I will have to return to your blog again, when I have more time, so that I can see other things we could do along the way. I did subscribe (to get an extra entry in the Blue Bunny Giveaway) so I’m sure I’ll be reading more.
Wendy’s last blog post..Its Raining, Its Pouring, My Boys are Probably Driving my Husband Crazy
Wendy, thanks for the info on the Narcisse snake holes. I’ve never heard of that before! (I’m also not sure I’d like it with my aversion to snakes, but it’s very interesting nonetheless.)
We vacationed in Winnipeg a few years ago and found that there was lots to do there. Highlights for us were the Children’s Museum, Lower Ft. Garry, Grand Beach (east side of Lake Winnipeg), Museum of Man and Nature, and Western Canada Aviation Museum. We stayed at the CanadInns Polo Park, which was very family-friendly.
Thanks for your note and for subscribing!
