Big Hereford Steer in Plainview, MN
My kids have traveled enough with me now to know that we stop and/or turn around for two things: historic markers and really big things.
And so it was that as we were driving through Plainview, Minnesota, the kids and I all gasped at once as we saw this:

My poor husband, who was driving, didn’t know what we were getting at until we specifically told him we had to turn around so I could take a picture of it. And being the sweet husband that he is, he did it.
The Hereford is located behind the grocery store. I’m not sure of the significance of the creature or of its location, but we’re glad to add it to our collection of Really Big Things.

What a sweet husband who indulge in your collection.
We tend to have big Peach in our area.

Hope that grocery store has really big Steaks
What a cool looking cow. We have tons of cow fixtures in Costa Rica, the northern region here is cowboy country, but they are so different than this one.

I can tell you’re really going to love your trip out to North Dakota. I remember that we saw what I considered more than the usual amount of signs promoting really-big-things as we drove through!
