How will you spend Memorial Day?  Is it just an opportunity for a long weekend or getaway?

Last year, we were in North Dakota and attended a Memorial Day observance while there.  This year we plan to be at the cemetery when the honor guard is there and then attend a Memorial Day program in our small town.

That’s not to say we won’t have some fun this weekend, but it’s important to remember the holiday for more than vacation time or shopping sales.
