Adventure in Our Backyard
I had the kids loaded in our minivan to take them to school yesterday, but before leaving, I needed to talk to my husband, who happened to be working behind the barn.
I drove over to him, pulling onto the grass in an area that was used as a road when there were animals on this farm, but apparently the kids didn’t remember that.
As we circled around the barn, the kids thought this was the best fun. “Mommy, we are driving by my silo!”
Sometimes you just don’t have to go very far to do something different and have a good time.
(The rainbow picture is a couple of weeks old, but views like this are one of the things I love about living on a farm.)
For more travel photos, from places farther away than backyards, take a look at Photo Friday at Deliciousbaby.

What a beautiful farm you have! I remember growing up there was always something new to explore on a Minnesota farm. My favorite thing to do was just sit in the fields on the rusting abandoned equipment and listen to the quiet.
It’s so wonderful that your kids have such a rich home for adventure!

I agree, sometimes the best things to explore are within walking distance of where you live! I would get a kick out of a silo too:)

I love the picture – and the sentiment expressed in this post. Today Teddy found a worm in the yard and he was just as excited as if we had gone on an adventure.

I’m having trouble with my comments going where they should. A comment for this post ended up in the comments here: Caribbean Blues
