Y’see, the thing is, my older son would probably prefer to go see a ball of twine in Minnesota than to be regularly schlepped half-way around the world to visit relatives.

I love the cheesy roadside attractions.
It’s fun to look at beautiful photos from exotic places, but I think it’s more fun to look at something I might actually have a chance to see in person…and something that really reflects what was important to a particular person or place. Tell me you have a “mankiller clam”, or the world’s largest hockey stick…and I’ll probably go look at it…wait, I’ve actually seem those things!
