Peg, thanks for your comment about the train tracks in Dresden. I love some of the unique things found in small towns. The area around Dresden is beautiful!

I live in Dresden and these tracks are still used. The train haul coal and do go slowly. I say the guy that goes through at 2:00 a.m. blows the whistle long and loud to say he is up so everyone else should be to.

By the way, I live on the West side of the tracks so of course that is the right side. lol

This was, I believe, an actual railroad track, not a trolley line or something similar.Note: I’ve received some nice comments about the quality of this photo or the angle of the shot. Sometimes the best shots are those accidental or quick grab shots. That’s one of the beauties of digital cameras..you’re not afraid to take a grab shot for fear of wasting film.

Ha! I got a great photo like that once too, this fall when we drove by a gorgeous field of sunflowers backed by trees in full autumn colors on the Romantic Road in Germany.
