Photo Friday: Sunrise over Lake Superior
Living in southern Minnesota, sometimes we forget that we have a huge lake bordering much of our state. It’s big and it’s deep and it’s beautiful, and we loved watching the sun rise above it as we drove along the North Shore.

What a beautiful shot. If I ever get to move, i’m totally moving somewhere where there’s a large body of water.
This reminds me that we’re seriously talking about going up to northern Minnesota for a trip in the next year or so. I love the North Shore, and Tim is quite hot to go back up there as he got a new canoe this year.
We were last up there about a decade ago…during the week of the “Incident” (big storm when millions of trees were blown down in the Boundary Waters area). We were still able to canoe out on Farm Lake and over by the pictographs that week, though. Our B&R only lost power for one night…

That is a beautiful picture!! I wanted to see the sun rise over Lake Superior when we were in MN, but there was no way we were getting there that early. But the North Shore drive is beautiful!! We loved it, and again, thanks for all the help that you gave me on BabyCenter.
